Joyce di Donato Masterclass (Tenor)

I wanted to share this today because I spend so much time working with singers (and being a singer) and I know we all get very caught up in our vocal technique. But then I ran across this video today where Joyce di Donato is working with tenor, Jose Simerilla Romero at Carnegie Hall; singing La Bohème “Che gelida manina” (Rodolfo) and she is much more interested in his interpretation being REAL and ORGANIC. She gives great tips on how to gesture on stage. How to be in character. These things are as important as our technique and often times can aid in bringing the technique to life. Enjoy!
